Salary: Level 1 from £21,840 to £23,500

Location: Leeds, UK – Phoenix Dance Theatre, LS2 7PA (with flexibility for some home working)

Hours: 35 hours per week (non-touring weeks). Touring weeks are schedule dependant.

Phoenix Dance Theatre is seeking a self-motivated, organised, and creative Technical Assistant.  This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to cultivate and enhance their skills in technical theatre, particularly within the realm of contemporary dance.

The Technical Assistant will work closely within our technical department to support the execution of the company’s new touring model, ensuring the seamless operation of technical aspects during rehearsals and shows.

You will work across our artistic delivery and Learning and Development activity, enabling the company to engage audiences in high quality dance across a range of venues and settings.

Your day-to-day workload will include supporting all technical aspects around touring, working creatively with the Artistic team, liasing with external vendors and supporting studio requirements. The role is very varied, and we are looking for someone who is attracted to the breadth and opportunity it presents.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate/ early career who is passionate about the industry and touring.
