Internal Operations Senior Manager – Part Time

Salary: Senior Manager pay band.  

  • £45,000-£55,000* per annum (pro rata), if UK-based. 
  • $65,000-$75,000* per annum (pro rata), if East-Coast based. 

*Precise salary will be decided within the band on the basis of experience and skillset.

Location: Remote, with access to co-working spaces. We are an entirely ‘remote’ organisation. We invite applicants located in the UK and East Coast of the US only (due to team timezone needs), who have the right to work in either of these locations as unfortunately we are not sponsoring work visas at this time. 

Role Type: Part Time, permanent, 2 days a week.

Who are we?

Fearless Futures (FF) serves daring organisations – across sectors – ready to actively challenge inequities by addressing their roots, intersections, and lived realities. We do this as an ambitious group of multi-disciplinary specialists by facilitating transformative, experiential equity and inclusion education and partnering with our clients through consultancy to re-design their policies and processes to operationalise equitable ecosystems for their people and products. 

What will the role involve?

  • Manage recruitment and onboarding processes for all new hires (excluding freelance facilitators)
  • Manage financial transactions including: moving funds monthly to our outsourced finance function, pay staff expenses each month from our UK and US business accounts, pay our UK VAT bill monthly and other ad hoc company payments
  • Manage our UK and US flexible office space options for staff
  • Engage with Trinet and Peninsula – our US and UK HR providers for day to day and compliance matters
  • Manage documentation and information needs on Bright HR and Trinet platforms for UK and US staff respectively
  • Manage our UK and US business insurance needs: keeping them up to date, extending where necessary and renewing as required
  • Procurement for staff needs
  • Manage all RFP processes for external suppliers, as necessary
  • Plan and execute team away days/weeks
  • Manage internal policies: ensure all policies are up to date, accurate and reflective of changes, as developed by the Leadership Team
  • Lead ISO27001 investigations in the event of any data/security breaches

The role will report into our Programmes Account Manager, Laurie Jevons (she/her) who is based on the East Coast, Maine, USA.

Experience and skills 

  • At least 7 years work experience or equivalent. 
  • Experience in basic finance: transactions/moving money/budgeting/bookkeeping. 
  • Experience in project management/a role that required ownership of a workstream. 
  • Demonstrable organizational skills and attention-to detail. 
  • Ability to work autonomously to achieve success. 
  • An interest in anti-oppression work.
  • Demonstrable written communication skills.



  • 7.8% of salary (pro rata) paid as a healthcare allowance

UK and US:

  • Personal leave allowance: 25 days total plus 8 public/federal holidays. The FF offices close at year end, giving all staff a further c4-5 days of leave
  • 10% pension contributions by Fearless Futures (pro rata)

Interview process

  1. Inclusive Recruiting is a recruitment company that is our partner in this process. With them you can expect an initial screening call, and then an hour long competency based interview. Screening calls and interviews will be on a rolling basis.

Interview with Fearless Futures: week commencing 7th February, 2022.

    1. This will involve a live assessment of skills required in the role, followed by an interview. The interview will be with our Programmes and Accounts Manager, CEO and Chief Relationships Officer. 
    2. All assessment activities will be live so you will not be required to prepare anything outside of the hours of the interview. 
    3. Approx. duration: 2 hours.

There may be a final round only if absolutely necessary. Otherwise, decisions will follow a couple of weeks after the interview with the Fearless Futures team.
