Global Payroll Expert

Compensation: up to £65,000 per annum OTE

Location: Hybrid role – Manchester, UK / Remote

 

A critical global HR role with the objective of significantly and continuously improving payroll processes through payroll outsourcing. With the goal to optimise payroll standard processes and procedures to gain efficiencies globally according to best practice

  • Work with global payroll vendor(s) to implement, monitor and improve payroll practices
  • Global SPOC for Hilti payroll communities
  • Drive continuous process improvement, innovation, excellence across all Payroll processes and innovation globally
  • Define governance for decision making on process changes and implementation
  • Ensure consistency/alignment of Payroll processes ensure compliance with ICS controls

Key Responsibilities

Global payroll key expert:

  • Understand the Hilti global payroll processing landscape and identify the most efficient and effective payroll solutions applicable to the diverse needs
  • Enable payroll knowledge sharing and connect to local/regional experts
  • Support communications to key stakeholders (SPOC)
  • Regular governance review with vendor to ensure SLAs are met
  • Manage global vendor for operational issues
  • Build and foster strong relationship within the global payroll community (internally and externally)
  • Review service level with the Hilti payroll community using Hilti’s outsourcing payroll provider 
  • Set up efficient and robust global payroll processes
  • Drive the global payroll strategy & process definition in line with corporate audit requirements
  • Consistently benchmark with industry best practice and latest trends related to payroll processing

ICS – Global design and maintenance

  • Establish global payroll process documentation on GPMS/Stages (ICS)
  • Drive the global payroll strategy & process definition in line with corporate audit requirements
  • Rollout controls and be global SPOC for payroll community

What we are looking for

  • Experience in Payroll, ideally across multiple levels
  • Experience working in a payroll management role, within a global environment
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and self-reliant person with good communication skills
  • Proven track record of project management experience and implementing changes and improvements to drive efficiency (LEAN)
  • Experience in payroll process definition using best practices and internal compliance requirements
  • Global payroll experience using outsourced partners
  • Strong understanding and implementation capability of systems and advanced technologies related to payroll, ideally knowledge of Workday and ADP
