Evidence and Implementation Lead – National Centre for Family Hubs

Part-time or full-time (21-35 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00, as agreed with the line manager). Flexible working is possible.

The Anna Freud Centre is a world-leading mental health charity for children and families. For over 70 years, we have championed research and channelled it into action to support children and young people. We draw on the lived experience of young people and work with the communities that surround them, from nursery workers to neuroscientists, carers to clinicians, to understand challenges and create evidence-based solutions.

The Centre values diversity and aims to have a workforce that reflects this. We encourage applications from all sections of the community.

This is an exciting opportunity to design and develop the National Centre for Family Hubs (NCFH), a large, high-profile national programme funded by the Department for Education (DfE). The NCFH champions the adoption of the family hub model so that all babies, children and families can access the joined-up, whole family support they need through an increase in family hubs provision across England. This preventative work contributes to the Anna Freud Centre’s ‘Closing the Gap’ strategy. The approach to the NCFH is evidence-based, participation-led and practice-informed. This means the events and materials we develop are co-produced with practitioners and families as well as being rooted in evidence and best practice. The Evidence and Implementation Lead will sit within the Early Years and Prevention Department in the Clinical Division, which takes a cultural-attachment-trauma lens to its work.

Are you a resilient, motivated, politically-aware, organised, and creative individual, with experience in applying evidence and research to policy and practice? If you tick these boxes, this job is for you. This is a great opportunity to ensure your skills (perhaps as a senior practitioner, researcher, policy analyst, local authority commissioner or project manager) are really making a difference to families in England. This is an exciting time to join our growing and multi-disciplinary team. Please refer to the Job Profile for the requirements of this role – we look forward to receiving your application.

Please email Recruitment@annafreud.org with any job enquiries, or if you require assistance or experience difficulties when applying. Please note that successful candidate(s) will be asked to evidence their Right to Work in the UK post-job offer – we do not hold a sponsor licence therefore we are unable to provide Visa sponsorship.
