Salary: £37,000 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week exclusive of lunch breaks. Additional hours at evenings and weekends will be required (agreed in advance), for which time in lieu may be granted. There are no extra payments for additional hours worked.

Following some internal promotions in the department, Shakespeare’s Globe‘s is hiring for new managers in our Development Team. We are currently seeking a talented Corporate Partnerships Manager to join our Development Team on full-time, permanent basis.

 

The role:

The Corporate Partnerships Manager will lead on the delivery of a suite of bespoke partnerships, memberships, experiences, and events offered to corporate partners in order to maximise income and meet agreed targets. This role is overseen by the Head of Corporate Partnerships, will work in collaboration and alongside the Commercial Events Manager, and will have direct responsibility for the Corporate Partnerships Officer.

The purpose of the role will be to:
• Devise and implement strategies for recruitment and retention of our Corporate Members as we endeavour to grow our overall Members significantly by 2025.
• Manage a portfolio of current and prospective Corporate supporters across all Corporate Offerings to meet financial targets.
• Maximise income potential by encouraging Corporates to renew and increase their support.
• Look for new internal opportunities to embed and promote Corporate Giving across the organisation.
• Manage our Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank flagship project

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To work in collaboration with the Head of Corporate Partnerships to inform and implement the strategy for income growth from corporate revenue streams.
  • Identify and target key markets to grow Corporate Membership, strategic partnerships, training packages and bespoke events through proactive selling.
  • Lead on discussions for upgrading support when appropriate to secure additional
    revenue.
  • Account manage multi-year corporate partnerships, including renewal and contract, negotiation, stewardship plans, maximisation of crediting opportunities, regular communication and reporting.
  • Lead on project management of our longstanding partnership with Deutsche Bank, Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank
  • Ensure that the contracted benefits of supporters are consistently delivered to a high standard, responding to client requirements, and chairing regular supporter meetings.
  • Work with colleagues across the organisation to develop a range of compelling sponsorship propositions that align the Globe’s strategic objectives and the corporate sector’s funding trends.
  • Develop a comprehensive suite of attractive and competitive marketing materials to secure new and repeat business, including relevant webpages, social media campaigns and promotional activation.
  • Maintain sales figures and financial records, managing income and expenditure, reporting on a regular basis.
  • Work with the Corporate Partnerships Officer to ensure optimisation of the customer relationship management (CRM) Tessitura and financial systems in compliance with Data Protection regulations to deliver effective relationship management for corporate members and partners.
  • Ensure fundraising products and practice are in line with current fundraising market trends and policy.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Events Manager to identify corporate prospects from commercial revenue streams and drive income generation, and where possible upgrade event clients to Corporate Members or sponsors.
  • Work across the department to support the entire Development Department as required.

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Experience of managing corporate partnerships in a not-for profit, charity or arts environment.
  • Proven experience of new business identification and development including creation of marketing assets.
  • Experience of working to financial sales targets.
  • Proven experience of project management skills, including operational planning, budgeting and reporting.
  • Excellent client management or customer service skills.
  • Proven experience of working effectively as part of a team, including using own initiative and being a supportive team member.
  • Effective planning, administration and MS Office skills, with the proven ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, maintaining accuracy at all times.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (including written) with the ability to effectively interpret and present information in different ways to a range of people at all levels.
  • The ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
  • Experience of administrative and logistical processes around corporate bookings, such as risk assessments, booking procedures and diary management.
